Guerlain L'Art & La Matière Oud Khôl Eau de Parfum is a dramatically intense and hauntingly mesmerizing oriental-woody fragrance that channels the ancient, mystical allure of kohl — the dark, smoky pigment that has adorned and captivated eyes across centuries of Eastern civilization — into a breathtakingly bold and deeply evocative olfactory experience of sovereign darkness, smoldering sensuality and timeless Guerlain magnificence. It opens with a strikingly dramatic and electrifyingly bold burst of saffron, black pepper and smoky incense, creating a dark, fiery introduction of raw, commanding intensity and ancient mystical energy that immediately seizes the senses with the thrilling, intoxicating power of an encounter with something truly extraordinary and deeply unforgettable. The heart unfolds into a magnificently rich and profoundly complex fusion of precious oud absolute, rose and dark smoky accords, weaving together an extraordinary tapestry of smoldering resinous depth, opulent floral warmth and ancient oriental mystery that feels simultaneously timeless, fiercely alive and hauntingly beautiful in its bold, unapologetic celebration of darkness and light existing in magnificent, perfectly balanced tension. The base descends into deep, dark labdanum, warm amber and velvety musks, leaving a powerfully sovereign, extraordinarily long-lasting trail of smoldering oriental magnificence and deeply commanding darkness on the skin — a fragrance as ancient, mysterious and gloriously captivating as the kohl-darkened gaze that inspired its breathtaking and unforgettable creation.
